Child safety standards
_Last updated: 20 October 2026_
Lovelark has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM). These standards explain what is prohibited, how we prevent it and what we do when we find a case.
Adults only (18+)
- Lovelark is only for people aged 18 or over. To create an account you must enter your date of birth and confirm you are an adult.
- Accounts that appear to belong to minors are suspended while we review them and deleted if confirmed.
What is prohibited
- Any content that sexualises minors, including drawings, edited images or images generated with artificial intelligence.
- Sharing, requesting or offering child sexual abuse material, or links to it.
- Contacting minors for sexual purposes (grooming), including outside the app.
- Sexual extortion (sextortion) and the trafficking or exploitation of minors.
How we prevent and detect it
- Automatic review of photos before they become visible (nudity, violence) and automatic moderation of messages.
- In-app reporting with a dedicated reason: in the ⋮ menu of a profile or chat, "Report" → "Appears to be underage".
- Human review of reports, prioritising those involving minors, within 24 hours at most.
- Banned accounts cannot sign up again with the same phone number or email.
What we do when we find a case
- We remove the content and ban the account immediately.
- We keep the information needed as evidence, as required by law.
- We report it to the competent authorities. In Colombia: the Te Protejo channel (teprotejo.org), the National Police (Centro Cibernético Policial, CAI Virtual), the Attorney General's Office (Fiscalía) and ICBF line 141. In other countries, to the competent national authorities and, where applicable, to NCMEC's CyberTipline.
- We cooperate with requests from the authorities within the law.
How to report
- In the app: ⋮ menu of the profile or chat → "Report" → "Appears to be underage".
- By email: nearlyappsupport@gmail.com, with the subject "Child safety".
- If a child is in immediate danger, call the emergency services: 123 in Colombia, or your country's emergency number.
Legal framework
We comply with Colombian Law 1098 of 2006 (Childhood and Adolescence Code), Law 679 of 2001 and Law 1336 of 2009, the laws of the other countries where the app is available, and Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy.
